BRADEN HAMMOND |
| |
|
Braden Hammond began his journey as a Glass
Artist in 2003 at Santa Cruz Art and Glass Studio. From that moment
he was hooked on the beauty of glass art and the endless possibilities.
Braden has learnt from and worked in collaboration with lampworkers
from California, Seattle, South Carolina, Colorado, Vancouver Island
and Vancouver. He is constantly exploring glass and studying the westcoast
borosilicate glass movement. Through continuous practice and growth,
Braden has developed his own style of glass jewellery application.
Braden's current work focuses on wearable art and fashion and is some
of the most beautiful lampworked glass jewellery made in British Columbia.
People across Canada can't seem to get enough of his amazing glass
rings, making them a top-seller. His cuffs have made the pages of
fashion magazines and are a favourite of fashionistas around the globe.
Hammond's collections include the 'Ice-Cube Collection' created completely
from clear glass, the 'Dichro Collection', which focuses on organic
shapes, and the 'Midnight Collection', inspired by the black-diamond
hills of Whistler. "I strive to push my limits and the limits of glass
everyday", said Braden when asked about his now infamous glass jewellery
line that has taken Canada by storm! "Glass is my passion. I love
to see beautiful ladies wearing my designs. To me that says it all".
