Braden Hammond Glass is honoured that "The Aquatic Carnival" Chandelier has taken the Viewers Choice Award at The BC Glass Association's Meltdown Show, hosted by SFU.
The Aquatic Carnival chandelier pushed boundaries in modern contemporary flamework. The main concept has been done before with larger mediums and I wanted to attempt to make this piece out of flamedworked borosilicate glass. I started with the structure. I used clear glass to make a webbed like cone shape that points towards the floor. Then I created 200 blown organic shapes that would be individually attached to the structure.
